Second KBA Commander CT soon to go live at Main-Post

On 27 and 28 September last year an eighteen-month test phase at the Main-Post newspaper in Würzburg, Germany, culminated in the market launch of KBA’s innovative compact wet offset press, the Commander CT, under the banner “The Future is Compact”. Impressed by its performance, in February this year New York’s Daily News awarded a contract for a fifteen-tower Commander CT 6/2 press line and a few weeks ago longstanding KBA customer Straubinger Tagblatt in Bavaria also placed an order.more...

Sales and earnings still below target

While the Drupa international trade fair in late May and early June stimulated investment in new kit, and new products brought in contracts for KBA worth hundreds of millions of euros, by the end of June funding for some of them had still not been secured as the negative impact of the financial crisis became apparent. 07 Gruppen snaps up four KBA Rapida 106 presses

At Drupa KBA was awarded a contract by 07 Gruppen in Oslo, Norway, for four Rapida 106 presses with a total of 26 printing units. Three of these high-performance presses – a four-colour straight version, a five-colour with coater and an eight-colour perfector for four over four – will ship in November and December this year. The fourth, a further eight-colour perfector for four over four, will follow in spring 2009. more...
